Cours de Français intensif professionnel(A1-B2)

The one year French intensive language course.

This course lasts for 12 months. The content of the course focuses on listening, speaking, writing and reading. In order to form future highly-proficient French foreign language speakers. Apart from offering the above foundation training, we also provide concrete exam strategies to cope with French language exam. No matter your reasons to enrol in this course are due to academic or professional purposes, this course provides you with a step by step guide towards the enhancement of your French level. The training is specially designed for students aiming to enter tertiary education in France or simply are deeply interested in the French culture. The classes does not only increase students’ French ability, but also the overall commercial, social and cultural insights. We train student to communicate at ease from daily life to social and professional situation. At the same time we offer consultancy for individual students hoping to enter French tertiary education. No matter you want to study or aim to enter French companies, our school offers you the necessary practical and professional training that pave the road of success throughout your French-learning journey.

Course content:

Foundation course (first four months)

Approximately at A1-A2 level. Focusing on vocabularies, grammars, listening comprehension and reading comprehension. We provide strengthening exercise and homework practises accordingly. Training to write articles, minor subjects, speaking exam and reading comprehension are also provided. On top of these, during the course we provide A1 - A2 mock exams and exam strategies.

Advanced course (the following 8 months)

Around B1-B2 level. Combining subjects include vocabularies, grammars, listening comprehension, listening comprehension. Homework and regular tests are given to consolidate students’ level. Essay-writing practices are offered and we provide level B1-B2 exam strategies. The course also include grammar, reading and  listening comprehension and vocabularies strengthening exercises. In the last stage of the course we also provide specific trainings to help students to gain insights in the professional and cultural world of France.

Advanced French

DELF and DALF French Language Proficiency Test

DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are worldwide recognized diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education. They are designed to assess French students' communicative skills in different daily, academic and professional circumstances.

The DELF and the DALF are composed of six independent units:

- DELF A1 and DELF A2

- DELF B1 and DELF B2

- DALF C1 and DALF C2

These exams evaluate students’ overall language ability rather than specific formal grammatical knowledge. The also test students’ ability to to communicate in everyday situations (DELF A1 and A2) or ability to express opinions and argumentation (DELF B1 and B2). The DALF guarantees an extensive knowledge of the French language, even in specialized areas such as law or economics.

Candidates having earned the DALF are exempted from language entrance examinations in French universities.

Regular DELF and DALF French Courses

This course is designed for students aiming at taking exams at DELF and DALF level or are simply interested in the language. The classes are divided into 6 level.

  • Can introduce themselves and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people they know and things they have.

  • Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

  • Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).

  • Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.

  • Can describe in simple terms aspects of their background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

  • Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.

  • Can deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken.

  • Can produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.

  • Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

  • Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization.

  • Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.

  • Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

  • Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer clauses, and recognize implicit meaning.

  • Can express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions.

  • Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.

  • Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

C2

  • Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read.

  • Can summarize information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation.

  • Can express themselves spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations.

法班(DELF , DALF)能力試課程

法文鑑定文憑(DELF-DALF)是由法國教育部核發給外籍人士所學法文語言程度的鑑定文憑，可以藉由這個檢定，有效預估本身所學法文程度。1985年成立自今已有150個國家共900多個中心固定舉辦該鑑定測驗。 自2005年9月1日起，法文鑑定文憑配合為歐洲議會各會員國語言所制訂的《歐洲共同參照準則》，將所學法文鑑定考試級數重新規劃。

從今以後，各級所學法文鑑定文憑皆對應於《歐洲共同參照準則》所制訂的六級語言程度。 每一法文鑑定級數皆包含聽、說、讀、寫四種能力測驗。

 

The DALF Preparation Course

FR02 A1

能理解並運用每天熟悉、與自己喜好有關且具體的表達方式和非常基礎的語句，可以簡單介紹或詢問、回答自己或他人有關個人的訊息，例如居住地、人際關係、  生活買賣及交通資訊等等。

 
FR03 A2

能理解在最貼近自己的環境中經常被使用的表達方式或語句，例如非常基本的個人和家庭資料、購物、區域地理、就業等，可與人溝通簡單每天的工作，此外，這個程度的學員，能夠用簡淺地表達自身背景、以及最貼近自己身邊的的事物。

 
FR04 B1

學員能對工作、學習環境、休閒環境等等的事物做出理解，可在法語言使用的地區旅遊時，對應各種可能的狀況，也可以對於自己感興趣或熟知的的事物提出簡單的相關資訊，此外還可以描述經驗、發生的事情、願望、和志向，並能對自己的意見或計畫做出簡略的解釋。

 
FR05 B2

學員能理解複雜文章的具體和抽象主旨，包括技巧地討論自己專業的事項，可自然而流暢地使用法語言進行互動溝通。能針對廣泛的主題說出清晰、細節性的文字，並且可對於一個議題提出解釋與利弊分析或是各式各樣的想法。

 
FR06 C1

能理解包括要求、長篇文章、或意義含蓄的廣泛訊息，自然而流暢的表達，而沒有明顯的詞窮狀況發生，懂得彈性並有效率的運用語言在社交、學術、專業目的之上，對於複雜的主題能產生清晰且架構良好、細節性的文字，展現收放自如的組織形式、連結和精巧的策略。

 
FR07 C2 能夠輕易理解任何吸收到的訊息，並且針對不同書面或口語來源做出大綱、重新架構不同的論點，提出的表達，自然而非常流暢，緊緊地抓住語言最唯妙唯肖的部分，更能在較為複雜的場合上辨別專業上細微的意涵。
